XII Wednesday night closed the
Marian Year with a ' broadcast

to increase consumption of lamb
in the Salt Lake City area.
"The results of the camoaisn
were most satisfactory," he said
in his prepared address. "For the
month of July the increase was
28 per cent more than for the same
month oi last year. August showed
a 54 per cent increase and Sep
tember 66 per cent. : 1
"One packer had an increase of
over 250 per cent. Many retail
stores sold up to six times as much
lamb during the campaign as they
did in the . same period a year
ago." . .... ;
Smith said the campaign, using
TV and other advertising, empha
sized what he called the "four D's:
The deliciousness of lamb; its di
gestibility; its dynamic energy and
the diet-perfect food."
