BUST On SEVERAL PROJECTS
All Friend Blue Bird Group of
Tenmile met at the Ladies Club
house on Wednesday with their
loaders Mrs. Flossie Ison and
Kathleen Sypher in charge.
The girls spent the afternoon
making jig-saw puzzles which will
be presented to the Veterans Hos
pital. They are also planning a
scrap book in which they will
write the history of their work.
They are also covering a cigar box
in which the girls will place useful
articles to be given to Korean
children.

FINAL MEETING
The last IJome Extension meet
ing was held last Thursday at the
home of Gertrude Oompton. It was
an all day meeting startinz at
10:30 a.m. with a potluck lunoh-!
eon at noon. Marion Fisher and '

ect leaders for the day and dem
onstrated "Main Dish Meals." :

luncheon.
During the business meeting Or.
etha Sulotf was installed as presi
dent for next year and Dorothy
Binder as secretary and treasurer.
Mildred Taylor acted as installing
officer. There were 15 members
and nine children present. Mildred
Taylor was presented with a baby
gift.
OAKLAND PTA
INSTALLS OFFICERS
Officers installed at the Oakland
PTA meeting Monday night were:
Floyd Ross, president; Delbert
Spencer, vice president; Mrs. K.
ft. Lytle, secretary; and Mrs. Ken
neth Copeland, treasurer.
The group voted to give two 4-H
scholarships; give a. scholarship
to a student taking a teacher's
course; and to build a backstop
at thrXincoln School. It was re
sorted th $230 was cleared at the
PTA play.
A one act play and a skit were
presented during the program
hour.
Mrs. Milo Bullock and Mrs. Bert
Hill were chairmen of the refresh
ment committee.

MEETING HELD AT ELKTON
Interchurch Fellowship meeting
was held at the Methodist Church
Monday evening. The Rev. Knight
was guest speaker. Special music
from the Drain Methodist Church

and Mrs. Heater accompanied by
Jerry Whipple. Miss Jeanne
ifoungberg sang a solo accompan
ied by Nancy Fisher; and Fred and
Rosalie C'emo sang a duet accom

Mrs. Bert Fair of Eugene visited
this week in Roseburg with the
latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
James Duren.
Back From California Mr.
and Mrs. James Richmond have
returned to their home in West
moreland, Roseburg, following a
trip to San Francisco. While they
were gone, Mrs. Richmond's moth
er, Mrs. Gordon Clark, of Port
land, stayed with their three sons.
Mrs. Clark left the first of the
week for her home.
