Responsibility for administration
of the islands was transferred is

partment of the Interior. Cordon's
bill would continue this indefin-Itely.

Yoncalla Child Hurt In Washer

Margaret Farrell, small daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Farre.,
of Yoncalla received a bad injury
last week when she caught her
arm in an automatic washing ma
chine, which had been turned on
by another youngster. A bone in
her arm was found to be chipped
and the arm and shoulder was
badly wrenched. It was necessary
to place the arm in a cast.
