killed Wednesday when his shotgun
accidentally discharged, the full
charje. hitting him in the right
side.
State police reported that he and
an unnamed companion had been
hunting about a mile north of Ban
don, along the shore, and appar
ently waded out a short ways.
When a wave came, he fell In turn
ing to hurry back to shore, and his
gun discharged.
He was an apprentice printer in
the shop of the Coos Bay Times
and made his home here with bis
sister, Melba Chennault. His par
ents are Mr. and Mrs. Omer Chen
nault of Benton, Ark.
