In the Azalea precinct, 287 cast
their votes. There were 347 regis
tered.

ing as clerks. The counting board

Lucy Michel, daughter of Renus

in Colorado taking her last exam
ination for airline hostess.
Mrs. John Strode was in Port
land recently for treatment at the
Portland Clinic. She was driven
to Portland by her daughter, Mrs.
Ernest Pemberton.
Mrs. Jim (Maggie) Jordan spent
nearly t week in the Forest Glen
Hospital in Canyonville, with flu
and comDlications. She returned
to Glendale Monday and will con
valesce at the home of her sister,
Mrs. Virgie Whitsett.
Ill With Flu
Jack Church has been seriously
ill at his home with the flu.
Dr. Howard Ferguson had two
tonsillectomy cases at the hospital
in Canyonville Friday morning.
They were Loree Harris, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harris and
Tommy Campbell, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Campbell.
Mr. Schmid. high school teach
er and lay preacher who is cur
rently supplying the pulpit of the
Olivet Presbyterian Church, is not
planning to enter the full-time min

Sisters Bear Children
Mrs. George Reynolds of Glen
dale and Mrs. Leroy Edwards of
Wolf Creek, sisters, gave birth to
babies at the Glendale Clinic
last week just one day and one
hour apart.
Mrs. George (Nadine) Reynolds,
won the race with an 8V4 lb. girl,
born at 7:25 a.m. Nov. 12, while
Mrs. Leroy (Betty Lee) Edwards
had a 7 pound boy at 8:25 a.m.
