Four-H clubs of Elgarose School
put on a talent show at the school
Tuesday. Several skits and musical
selections were given by the mem
bers and their fathers. Miss Lou
Owens and Matt Kumler, 4-H Club
agents, attended, and Kumler Rave
a talk on India. Refreshments were
served after; the program.

Yoncalla High School April S. This
is a vested choir of sixtv carefully

make an extended tour each
spring.

Mr. and Mrs. Franzcnbure of
Iowa, old friends of the W. J. Ladds
visited the latter part of this week.
Mrs. Pearl Connor, who spent the
winter in southern California, vis
ited Dave Rogers for a few days
recently while enroute to spend the
summer with her daughters near
Detroit, Mien.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Conaway
moved to the Booth Ranch this
week. Mr. and Mrs. Blankenship
will occupy the Conawny home
south of town.
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Lee are
parents of a son, born at the Cot
tage Grove hospital March 11. The
baby, which is their second child,
will be named Robert Steven.
At a meeting of the Civic Club
held recently, it was decided that
the project for the summer will be
the beautifying of the Hogalhurg
lot across the street from the Yon
calla Church ot Christ.
Mr. and Mrs, Cassius Rychard
of Plush, Ore., spent the weekend
visiting at the Luther Daugherty
and Art Rychard homes.
Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Smith have
sold their lot, which lies between
the Plainer and Knight homes north
of town, to a family from Reeds
port, who will build a new home
there this summer.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Booth and
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Booth were
called to Eugene last week by the
iilness of their father, Roy Booth.
Mr. and Mrs. Les Wright and
daughter of Arlington, Ore., spent
the weekend visiting the parental
Dan Wright home. Miss Phyllis
Wright of Portland and Miss Ois
Ann, students at Ashland normal
school, will also be home for the
family reunion.
Mrs. Lucille Blue and two chil
dren of Portland spent the weekend
visiting at the parental Cody Long
home in Pleasant Valley. .

On Juvenile Delinquency
Juvenile delinquency from the
standpoint of the juveniles will be
discussed Sunday in a radio inter
view over station KRNR.
Participating In the station's
"This Town Is Yours" series at
4 p.m. Sunday will be Frank West,
high school senior and president of
the Hi-Y Club, and Anne Marriott,
also a senior and president of the
Tri-Hi-Y Club.
