Cancer Victim
Faces Death Soon
KLAMATH FALLS W - A
six-months-old girl named for
Charline Dover victim of cause,
herself may have only a couple of
months to live.
The little girl is Charlcne -spelled
differently than the name
of the Dover child Radspinner,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh
Radspinner of Klamath Falls.
She was born with what was
termed a "deformity of the bilu
duct" which has caused her sys
tem to be slowly poisoned.
Charlene was born April 21 and
her mother said she knew since
birth something was wrong with
the child, that her coloring was
bad.
An operation was performed last
Saturday at Hillside hospital and
after the surgery Mr. and Mrs.
Radspinner were told that a child
can rarely live more than eight

months with the deformity.
Mrs. Radspinner said she and
her husband had named the child
before birth for Charline Dover,
who was then doomed by cancer, '
"so there would be another Char
lene in the world."
Charline Dover, aged 3, died of
cancer August 22 after she and
her pa.-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert
Dover, were moved from Klamath
Falls to Portland where the girl
could be treated at Doernbecher
hospital. Her illness attracted wide
attention and people of this area
contributed more than $180 to pay
her expenses.
