Sedell, 1023 Wharton avenue, Roseburg, hss received a promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the United States naval air fore. Sedell wu eraduated from San Leandro high school in San Lean- dro Calif., June 1938. He was later graduated from San Jose State college in San Jose, Calif., with an associate of arts degree and entered the ravy in October 1941. , . Sedell served aboard aircraft carriers in the Pacific during World War II and has to his credit two Navy Crosses, a Distinguished Flying Cross and a Presidential Citation along with numerous other medals. He is now on duty as a flight Instructor with the Naval Air Basic Training command in Pen sacola, Fla., where he re sides with his wife and their three children. Mr. and Mrs. Roy W. Sedell of Roseburg recently visited the family in Florida.
