were approved today in a bill
passed by the House today and
sent to the Senate.
Governor Douqlas McKay would
be boosted to $ ll, 000 a year, plus
his $100 monthly tax-free expense
account.
The state health officer would
be boosted to $10,000, and the super
intendents of tne slate hospital.
Eastern Oregon state hospital and
Fairview home for feeble-minded
persons would get $8,910 each.

James B. Crippes, 69,
Riddle Resident, Dies
James B. Crippes. 69. died at his
home in Riddle this morning. He
has been a resident of this area 1
for 40 years.
Mr. Crippes was born in Iron
ton, Ohio. June 28. 1KX4 and va
married in Albion, la. in 1904. Sur
viving are his widow, Ida Hanna
a son. Ray J. Crippes, Riddle;
three daughters, Mrs. J. L. Aikins,
Mr.. Guy Townsend and Mrs. A ,
V. Logsdon. all of Riddle; a sisier,
Margaret Sheble, Albion, la.; two
brothers, Robert, Albion, la. and
Will of Marshalltown, la.; and

Funeral services will be held in
the chaple of Ganz mortuary. Myr
