Berg held open-house at their beautiful home in Laurelwood. Three-hundred friends called dur ing the evening hours and were received by Mr. and Mrs. Ber? and their son-in-law and daugh ter, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Sears (Annabelle Berg). The Sears nd their baby son, Richard, were here from Medford for the weekend. . Inside and out, the Berg home is elaborately and beautifully deco rated for the holiday season. Blue and green Christmas candles light the floor - length windows, while strings of lights outline the entire home. Santa Claus, his sleigh and reindeer are on the roof and an an gel decorates the fireplace. Christ mas carols are played throughout the evening hours every niglit dur ing the holidays and the lights are turned on for the enjoyment of everyone passing by. A silvered Christmas tree with green and blue lights has been arranged at the north end of the long living room. While chrysanthemums deck the mantle, while the dining room is all in silver, white and rose. A plastic lily of the valley lamp,- circled with rose-colored grape ornaments decorates the buffet. The attractive rumpus room proved a delightful gathering place for friends calling during the evening hours. The serving table was covered with a white cloth and centered with huge tangerine colored candles tied with a large chartreuse colored bow. Silver trays were used for serving the refreshments. Dozens and dozens of people out driving nightly wend their way through Laurelwood to stop before the Berg home, where the holiday decorations prove so fascinating that they return again and again to enjoy the beautiful Christmas setting. - Sunday Otc. 14 Jobs Daughters will attend the Presbyterian church at 1 p. m. fur vesper service. COUNTRY CLUB WOMEN HOLD CHRISTMAS PARTY ON THURSDAY A large fat Santa ' with sleigh and reindeer, surrounded by fir boughs, decorated the mantel of the country club fire place for the gay Christmas party enjoyed by members and guests Thursday. The party began at ten a. m. Serv ing refreshments during the morn ing hours were the Mrs. Kenneth Quine, H. C. Stearns and E. R. Harvey. A potluck luncheon was served at noon under the supervision of Mrs. James Hughes, Mrs. R. D. Bridges and Mrs. W. C. Callison. The tables were cleverly decorated with holly, red paper and large shining ornaments. Mrs. I. J. Bean and Mrs. A. J. Murray were Santa's helpers and distributed many lovely gifts. Bridge was played during the af ternoon hours and prizes were won by Mrs. E. R. Harvey, first: Mrs. R. D. Bridges, second and Mrs. . J. Murray, third.
