year old Indian officer Thursday,

to be in the mountains near Chilo
quin. Arkell was shot at twice and
clubbed over the head. He identi
fied Ball and Butler at hit assail
ants. An Indian woman, Estella Kirk,
23, is also charged with assault
with intent to kill ami a second
girl, Ramona Tupper, 18, is held
at a material witness to the attack
on Arkell. Both are in the county
jail here.
