Ambassadors of the Assembly of
God church. "Dollars Mean .Souls"
will be the them of the net-vice,
which -will demunslrale the Speed-the-LiKM
proKram of the national
Christ's ambassadors youth organ
ization of the Assemblies of God.
Since the program was orig
inated six years a no, the com
paratively s m;i 11 national group
has contributed $700,000 toward
modern equipment for their mis
sionaries. Among the almost .VK) vehicles
purchased have bean 12 airplanes.
One (a converted B-17) is used to
operate a non-schedule missionary
airline which h ansm ts evangel
ical gospel workers to and from
points of service in various parts
of the world.
Radio and printing equipment
are also covered hy the project .
A Christian radio slat ion in Man
ila, I1. 1.. equipped partially by
Speed-lhe-I.iuht, has a potential
audience of up to one billion listen
ers. It broadcasts in .12 languages,
and carries mainly gospel prog
rams. Printing presses and equip
ment have been supplied in five
foreign countries.
The national goal in arranging
this special "Speed t he-Light Dol
lar Day" progiam is to raise $7.V
000 for more equipmcnl. An offer
ing will be received for the pur
pose in the service Sunday night
at the Assembly of liod church.
The service will be conducted
by the local Christ's ambassadors
group, the pastor. Itev. Vernon L.
Klemin, announced this week. The
general public is invited.
