What is the thing that defeats most
of them?
They come in wearing nine hats

Joan and Tony Webster, a young
couple who operate the Society of

Riviera rest camp when Tony met
her on leave at war's end. They
were married there.
Last January they bought the
model agency so they could have
the same working hours.

"We bought it on Monday, saw it
on Tuesday, and fainted on Wednes
day," laughed Joan. "The place
was rather rundown-looking."
But 30 of the models who
earn SIS to $30 an hour volun
teered to help them repaint the
offices. They got the job done over
weekends. The whole experiment
has left Webster dazed.
"What amazes me most is the
number of women who want their
children to be models," he said.

plant workers lacked its full flavor.
Creditors' garnishments against
the 800 all made idle in the re
cent 100-day Chrysler strike be
came effective.
A four-week moratorium declar
ed by judges of .common pleas
court expired, giving creditors the
right to collect.
The strike affected a total of '
140,000 workers. It was settled May
