Judge Solomon refused to hear
the case on that basis and trans
ferred it to Federal Judge James
A. Fee. Judge Fee slapped a con
tempt charge against the attorney
and sent the case back to Judge
Solomon.

Speedway fans unable to attend this year's running of the 500-mile
race at Indianapolis on Memorial day, May 30, will be as close to
the auto classic as the nearest radio, it was announced by Orchard
Auto Parts company, which will sponsor the broadcast of the race as a
Perfect Circle corporation representative for Roseburg, over KRNR.
The first of four broadcasts will begin at 9:00 a.m., IS minutes
before the Mercury pace car takes the track to start the race,
and will get the cars well on their way over the 500-mile grind be
fore leaving the speedway at 9:15 a.m. Station KRNR will again
take fans to the track at 10:30 a.m. for another eye-witness account
of the race, with a third period scheduled to begin at 12:30 p m.
At 1:00 o'clock, the broadcast of the finish will begin and continue
until the track's checkered victory flag has waved the winner across
the finish line. The broadcast of the racing classic will be carried
by the entire Mutual Broadcasting system, and Bill Slater will head
a crew of announcers describing the race.

tions posed by emcee l.yle Fenner on "Kid Frolics" (10:30
11:00 a.m.) . . . hour-long "It's Requested" session with Bob
McCarl (2:00-3:00 p.m.) . . . Ruth Warrick starring for the
"Proudly. We Hail" dramatisation of "The Angel of Clarks
villa" (3:00-3:30 p.m.) . . . Carl S. Marvel, winner of the
William Gibbs award medal for 1950, will be a member
of the ."Reviewing Stand" panel that will discuss the sub
iect "Natural Versus Synthetic Rubber" (5:00-5:30 p.m.) . . .
Beautiful singer Lena Home will describe her plans for a
forthcoming trip to Europe, when she is interviewed by Broad
way reporter Radio Harris (5:30-5:45 p.m.) Miss Home' will
fill a six-month singing schedule in the capitols of the con
tinent, Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney, who recently resigned
as undersecretary of Commerce, will hold the press conference
on the sir for "Meet the Press" (8:30-9:00 p.m.).
