Sawmills Urged To Prepare For Likely Car Lack West coast sawmill were urged thi week to make preparations for a possible un-seasonal freight ca shortage if the eastern coal strike continue. In a letter to it member, the West Coast Lumbermen' associa tion said the coal strike was al ready causing a curtailment of movement of empty freight cara w.-stward by eastern railroads. Thi a-.tion nay have a serious effect ot West coast lumber shippers by dr'ing up the supply of freight cars moving Into thi territory from eastern lines, the associa tion's ,ra(fic department advised.
