The apartment house troubles of
Rear Admiral Joseph J.
("Jocko") Clark were back In
the news again today.
This time It's a $500,000 assault
and battery suit brought against
the admiral and his wife by Miss
Selma Sinclair. ,
The admiral Is .charged with
forcibly preventing Miss Sinclair
from entering the apartment
house owned by Mrs. Clark.
Clark and his apartment home
were In the courts before. Then
it was over a battle to evict ten
ants from the $200,000 fashion
able Massachusetts Ave. proper
ty shortly after Mrs. Clark pur
chased it.
Miss Sinclair In' her LUlt
charges that Clark knocked her
down Oct. 25 when she was try
ing to visit friends in the build
ing. Clark says It's all a "spite
