Climaxing a week of official visits to Rebekah lodges in Douglas county Mrs. Lela Ram sey of Madras, president of the Rebekah Assembly of Oregon visited the Roseburg Rebekah . lodge Tuesday night at the regu lar meeting at the I. O. O. V. hall. Preceding the . meeting Mrs. Ramsey was honored witn a turkey dinner by members and visiting Rebekahs. In charge of the dinner were Mrs. Ralph Rus sell, Mrs. William Curtis, co chairman, Mrs. Ted Bloom, Mrs. Hattie Guerin. A holiday motif decorated the tables. Alpha Zeta Theta Rho girls assisting with serving were Bea Fridlund, Janice Wilhite, Marilyn Nickens, Roberta John, Virginia Cyrus, Sue Wissing and Elva Bovd. The lodge meeting followed with Mary Alice Mortenson, noble grand and Golda Niekell. vice grand, presiding. Mrs. La vern Nicks was appointed inside guardian, pro tern. Mrs. Ethel Skapdale of Mt. View Rebekah lodge, Port Angeles, Wash., was introduced. Officers introduced and wel comed included: Mrs. Ramsey, visiting .state officer; Mrs. Ethel Bailey, past president of state assembly; V. T. Jackson, past grand master; Mrs. Nellie Peter son, district deputy president from Sutherlin; Mrs. Violet Ross, Myrtle. Creek, District deputy president; Mrs. Louise Dimmick, district deputy president, Rose burg. Introducing these visitors were Gertrude Hatfield, Mayme Pick ens, Tillie Johnson. Mrs. Velma Herman was introduced as i member of the board of control of Theta Rho clubs of Oregon. Mrs. Florence Klatt was ad mitted by transfer. The Rebekah degree was conferred on Betty Mattes, Shirley M. Decker, Dai lene M. Miller, Betty Clark and , Elizabeth Winn. 1 . ; . Mrs. LaVern Nickens was .recommended to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term, left by the resignation of Mrs. Dimmick, as advisor to Theta . Rho club. . Volunteers to assist in prepara tion of a breakfast for members of Theta Rho following their slumber party included Golda Niekell and Blanche Marr. To ' make arrangements for a lunch eon to be served the Farm Loan association were Golda Niekell, . Gertrude Hatfield and Bertha . Bayliss. Joint installation of new offi cers with Philetarian lodge will ' be held January 12. Ethel Swayze was appointed to purchase a Christmas gift for the adopted sister in the l.u.u.r. home. A gift was given the visit in president, Mrs. Ramsey by Mrs. Bailey. The last Rebekah meeting this year wil be December 27 at 7:30 p.m. All Rebekahs are invited with sack lunch to follow the neeting.
