FAIR OAKS CLUB PREPARES BOX FOR CHILDREN'S HOME Fair Oaks Industrial club held their annual Christma party Dec. 1 at the clubhouse east of Sutherlln. Potluek luncheon pre ceded a business meeting. Gifts were exchanged under a gaily decorated tree. Mrs. Mabel Crouse was elect ed president; Mrs. Eloise Hib bard, vice president and Mrs. Lillian Baumgardner, secretary. A Christmas box was prepar ed for mailing to the Children's Farm Home at Corvallis with a check to purchase gifts for the children. The meeting, in charge ot retiring president. Venetta Riggs, was adjourned and follow ed by the social hour. Thirty members were present and guests were Vera Gaines, Jerry Hollandsworth, Sylvia Jones, Joy Ednie, Mabel Long ton and Dorothy Wells. JOB'S DAUGHTERS TO HOLS FOOO SALE Roseburg bethel No. S, of Job's Daughters will sponsor a food sale Saturday, Dec. 17, at the E. G. High Insurance office at the corner of Jackson and Cass streets. Membera are asked to brins; cookies, cakes, candies etc, to the office by 9 a. m.
