The highlight of the Ono's tem pestuous voyage was a rough-and-tumble Longshoremen't pic ket line melee at The Dalles, Ore., In September. The fuss develop ed after the barge was loaded in Hawaii during the . longshore men's strike here. CIO longhsore men blocked an attempt to have the pineapple unloaded on Pu get Sound. The Ono then towed the barge to the Columbia river and it finally was unloaded In the face of picketing at The Dal les. The barge carried a small lum ber cargo on the trip home.
