can of Days Creek, became the
bride of Tang Edward Smith, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Jess J. Smith,
also of Days Creek. The cere.
mony was performed by the Rev.
erend E. W. Powell at his home
in Myrtle Creek, with only the

ent. The bride who was given in
marriage by her father, wore a
navy blue dressmaker suit, with
pink and black accessories, her
corsage being of orchids. Miss
Norma Duncan who was maid of
honor for her sister, was dressed
in a grey suit with black acces
sories. Her corsage was of rose-

man, Richard Snyder, ilso of
Days Creek. The bride's mother
wore a DjacK afternoon frock,
while the groom's mother was
dressed in rose colored crene.

The Looklngglass Home Exten
sion unit and the P.-T.A. Study
club will hold a joint meeting all
day Wednesday at the home of
Mrs. Milton Vance. The morning
program will begin at 10 a.m. on
the topic, "Chistmass decora
tions." A potluck luncheon will
be served at noon, followed by a
gift exchange. At two o'clock the
program on "Adult inspirational
help," and "Child psychology,"
will be presented. All persons In
terested are Invited.

The Benson P.-T.A; met Mon
day night at the schoolhcuse with
Mrs. Don. Wells presiding. Much
to everyone's surprise the meet
ing was held In the new gym
nasium. A report was given on the find
ings of the new stage curtains
for the gym. . - ' .
Room count was taken and the
traveling prize went to Miss
Sherk's room. Having the most
fathers per each: room went to
Miss Snedaker's room.
The dedication of the new gym
nasium is to be January 19th in
the form of a free potluck sup
per. Mr. Crane Introduced the guest
speaker for the evening, being
Rev. W. A. MacArthur. Mr. 'Mac
Arthur's subject was "Triads of
Education" and proved to be
