Dr. Incze wrote to Indiana's famous Christmas mail town, asking admission to t this coun try. Postmaster James Yetlig re ferred the letter to the very Rev. A. G. Wlcke, pastor of St. Si mon's church here. Noted Violinist Dated In Opener Of Concert Series Ricardo Odnopbsoff, violinist, will present the opening program of the Roseburg Community Con cert association series for L949 50, from the stage of the junior high school Wednesday nfght. The program will start at S:15 p. m, Hatted as a roaster of the vio lin, Odnoposoff began his studies In his native Argentina with a pupil of Leopold Auer. At the age of 12, the boy virtuoso was taken from Buenos Aires to Berlin, where he starred under the tute lage o the master teacher, Cai-I Fieseh. While still a student, Odnopos off received an unprecedented honor.. He was chosen as soloist of the Berlin Philharmonic by conductor Eriek Hieiber, recogn ition never before accorded a not-yet-graduated artist. The stu dent created a sensation, and has been engaged in triumphs ever since. In 1932 Odnoposoff won first prize in the international contest In Vienna and embarked upon an overwhelmingly successful tour of his native South America, Europe recalled him and held him for many years. The dead were identified by Sheriff E. W, Miles as Mrs. Ber tha Goodman, 35, and William E. Ruff, 29, both of Savannah. Sheriff Miles said Mrs. Good man was wearing a red kerchief when she and ruff took stands about 30 paces apart for the shoot.
