Rita Williamson, producer of "What's the Name of that Song?"
r.rr -m KH.'iJwn 1 1- ii; looking for pet Ideas. No, Rita isn't
seeking the favored notions of radio ians, she's interested in pets
In the strict sense of the word. An animal lover all her life, Rita
recently had to give away her little Dachshund because of having
to leave him alone in her Huntington beach trailer home when she's
busy in Hollywood. She dearly wants a pet but needs one that may
be left on its own occasionally and one she would be permitted to
carry with her when traveling. Fans of her show are asked not to
send in pets just Ideas. Meanwhile, Rita is seriously considering a
flying squirrel, common to Mississippi and a tiny animal that trains
like but more readily than canines. "What's the Name of that
Song?" Is a regular Wednesday night feature on KRNR. (8:00-8:30).

naire is underway to find out.
It was set up by Col. J. T.
Pozzy, chief of the travel depart
ment section for the Economic
Cooperation administration. The
questionnaire is given to Ameri
can tourists leaving London on
the boat trains after they have
completed their tours t Britain.
Pozzy told the recent Interna
tional Hotel association- here lie
already had surveyed 1,500 Am
erican tourists in Europe, with
these findings:
'The vast majority of Ameri
can tourists today must travel on
a modest budget. The day of the
gay millionaire and the de luxe
suite is pretty well done.
"We found-that those who were
'first class' visitors had few cri
ticisms to make.
"But well over a third of those
traveling cabin or tourist class
had encountered unsatisfactory
sanitary conditions and their
comments frequently were scath
ing. "Another subject which
brought forth anguished com
ments from travelers - was the
telephone service. Nearly half
rated the system poor."t .-
Pozzy said many complained,
too, that hotels were more ex
pensive than they had expected
and that hotel beds were none too
comfortable.
He urged hotel keepers to make
all possible Improvements. Tour
ists spending, he pointed out, is
the biggest single source of dol
lar revenue for most of the na
tions in the European recovery
plan.
