OR This Is about sitting down while you work. If you want your brain to stay clear, you need a . personal chair, the Southern Medical association was told. "Chairs," said Dr. J. R. Garner, Atlanta, "should be as personal as your clothing." iney fit lor proper sitting. And if you don't sit right, Dr. Garner said, nome surprising things mental, physical anr1 psychologi calhappen. -. In this personal chair your rear will extend out back a bit, to pre vent coccvxosls. This refers to your coccyx, .a pair of bones, like stubby stilts, lust at the base of your spine. They aren't real sit ting bones, but lots of people use them for that, said Dr. Garner. This puts an extra strain on the end of the spine. A properly de signed cnair Douom wm also do the work of the rear overhang. The chair back needs a slightly curving area to press forward into the curve of your spine. Keep ing that curve in position tends to reduce pot-shaped corporosi tles. The chair seat should not be long enough to press against the fold-back of youi knees. That puts the feet to sleep. Your blood pressure goes up, said Dr. . Garner, when you sit with the familiar forward slouch. Dr.' Garner cites some serious deformations : that sometimes come from prolonged Improper posture In sedentary work. You know, about neuroses and psychoses. Dr. Garner says that now we . are also getting pos turoses. Sweetland States Morse Is Through KLAMATH FALLS.
