A Man After
Sex Operation

A strange new adventure in life
has begun for a 33-year-old
woman she has become, a man.
Dr. Charles F. Church said
that the former Edna Geneckl of
nearby South River has been
changed into Ed GeiwcW t
"her'1 own request by an opera
tion at an out-of-state hospital.

of life as a girl and woman. He
graduated from Rutgers univer
sity and later became a junior
executive at Johnson and Johnson
company here all as a woman.
But "Edna" though considered
a good-looking coed by Rutgers
classmates had deep doubts as
to her rightful place in nature's
scheme, Dr. Church said.
She found she had to shave
every day, and she had unusually
strong hands and arms for a
woman.
Finally, Dr. Church said, she
came to him for advice.
Dr. Church sent the troubled
woman to leading medical
authorities. They agreed that she
was predominantly male and with
her full cooperation suggested an
operation to complete the trans
.formation to a normal man.
The new Ed Genecki will be
coming home next week. He'll
take up his old job where he left
it and take a new place in the
community as a man.
Neighbors and co-workers have
been told of his change.
They all want to help Ed lead

growers in the west are cooper
ating with plant experts to light
an innocent-looking weed known
as the halogeton. It looks like
Russian thistle but contains
enough oxalic acid to kill a
sheep that cats a pound and a
half of the weed.
Thousands of sheep have been
lost since the halogeton first ap
peared in Idaho two years ago.
Nevada has had a similar loss.
It is spreading, and is hard to
control because it taKes hold
readily on poor land that is worth
less than the cost of killing the

Albert Ceckeram Sells His Ranch At Red Hill
Albert Cockeram, who has
spent his entire 65 years' on a
ranch on Red Hill near Yoncalla,
has sold his 730-acres to Homer
and Bertha Walters of Okanogan,
Wash. The transaction was made
through the Bob Crawford Real
Estate company. Mr. and Mrs.
Walters will take possession

ods of dealing with sexual criminals.
