Miss Gladys Rupp of Riddle was maid of honor and wore a blue suit with blue and white accesso ries and a pink camellia cor sage. Kenny Brew of Medford was best man and Don White was usher. The bride's mother wore a dark blue suit with blue hat and blue accessories and a corsage of red roses. A reception followed In the church parlors. The bride's ta ble, beautifully decorated in white, was centered with a three tiered wedding cake topped by a miniature bridal couple. The cake was served by Mrs. Eva White and the punch was served by Mrs. Merle Loomis. Following a honeymoon to Ban don, the couple will make their home in Roseburg. She told of plans for the library and gave a sketch from Dsrothy Thompson's new book. Her talk was very greatly en joyed and appreciated by the group. About one hundred and fifty friends called to honor Mr. and Mrs. Turner. The tea table was covered with a lovely drawn-work cloth and centered with a silver bowl filled with pink chrysanthemums. Six white tapers, In silver candela bra, flanked the centerpiece. The beautiful four-tiered cake was decorated In all white with silver leaves. At four o'clock. KRNR radio station played the transcription of the interview of Del McKay tor Lawson s Jewelry store with Mr. and Mrs. Turner chosen as the bride and bridegroom of the week. Cloyd Rlffe sang, "I'll Walk Beside You" and "Because" and Leroy Hiatt sang, "Just a Love Nest, Sweetest Story Ever Told," and "The Lord's Pray, er." Incidental music was play ed during the reception hours by Mrs. Gordon Stewart. Presiding at the serving table from three to four o'clock were Mrs. R. D. Williams and Mrs. A. J. Ellison. Mrs. G. C. Mr. and Mrs. Turner met while students at Lombard college in Galesburg. III. They were mar ried In Corvallis, Nov. 8. 1924, at which time Mr. Turner was freshman coach at Oregon State college. He has served as an ath letic coach in the Roseburg school system since coming to Roseburg a short time after their marriage. All of their children were bm In this city and In clude: Mrs. Chet (Barbaral Rich of Astoria; Miss Cynthia Sue Tur ner, student at Oregon Stale col lege: Howard Jr., and Carolvn, of Roseburg. The occasion was highlighted by the visit of Con gressman Harris Ellsworth, Sig unanner, oi fortlana, state chair man of the Republican party and H. O. Pargcter, head of Douglas County Republican central com mittee. In the receiving line were Mrs. Guy Cordon, wife of Senator Guy Cordon; Mrs. Harris Ellsworth, wife of Congressman Ellsworth, Mrs. Marshall Cornett, national Re p u b 1 i c a n commltteewoman from Klamath Falls, and Mrs. Freda Peterson, state vice chair man, of Salem. Music for the occasion was pro vided by a group of Roseburg musicians with Mrs. Gordon Stewart heading the committee for arrangements. Mrs. Leon Mulkey accompanied by Mrs. Stewart played violin numbers and Mr. R. Cloyd Rlffe, accom panied by the latter, sang several selections. Mrs. Richard Crenshaw presented two vocal numbers with Mrs. Clarence Trued as accompanist. The tea table was centered with an arrangement of bronze and yellow chrysanthemums with large lighted candles. Serving during the tea hours were Mrs. Ned Dixon, Mrs. C. E. Marks, Mrs. R. G. Davis, Mrs. Eugene Springer, Miss Irene Walker and Mrs. T. B. Virden. Arrangements for the decorations were in charge of Mrs. Vel Broadway, chairman; Mrs. H. O. Pargeter, Mrs. J. B. Josse and Mrs. George Wharton. Mrs. Roy O. Young, county vice chairman and member of the state Republican executive com mittee was in charge of the after noon arrangements.
