been planted on the stone over
the centuries, but the sponsors
got their Irish up.
"This sacred stone has been
kissed ever since the year-14ti6
with no noticeable effect save the
eloquence it Rave," said Con
Lynch, president of the United
Irish societies.
Dr. Geiger thereupon passed a
sterile swab over the face of the
stone to determine the caliber of
germs thereupon. The finding
will be made later..

ship Yunnan:
They were on Manus, largest of
the Admiralty islands, when the
Americans landed in 1944. Thev
hid.
They built and lived in palm
Ihatched huts, ate snakes, liz
ards and coconuts. They caught
fish with hooks made from old
pistol springs and lines woven
from wood fiber,
i They didn't know the war was
over until last March when thev
were found by Aborigines and
turned over to Australians.
Austria, In 1948, had 69,000
marriages, 119,000 births and
82,000 deaths. The only figure to
decrease since 1937 was deaths.
