Kiesal of 926 East fiOlh street, Tacoma, Wash., and Merle L. Knlgge. son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy D. Knigge. 426 Fullerton street, Rosehurg, were married at the First Bap tist church in Tacoma, Oct. 4. The bride selected a gown of w nne satin fashioned with a high neckline , wrist length sleeves, and full length train. Her veil was held in place with a seed pearl tiara and she carried a wedding bouquet of white gar denias, surrounded by white car nations, greenery, arid a shower of ribbon. The bride's sister. Mrs. Retha Miince was matron of honor. She wore a pink formal and a cor sage of pink carnations. The bro ther of the bride, Leonard Kle sel. was best man. Traditional music was played as the bridal party entered the church. A reception followed at the home of the bride's parent! ana gianioias ann pinK ana wnile streamers formed a decorative background for the reception. In cidental music was played. The wedding cake was decor ated with pink roses and topped by a miniature wedding bell and bride and groom. The cake was first rut by the young couple. They were honored at the Knig ge home Monday evening bv the bridegroom's mother, Mis Knig ge. and his sister, Mrs. Clark Smith. A group of friends were Invited to call and visiting and music was enjoyed. Mrs. Knigge sang several numbers accom panied by Mrs. Gordon Walker. Georgt Marshall will be co-hos- By BETTY ALLEN Badoura Club Benefit Bridge Tea Event Of Monday At Country Club Opening the week's social activities Monday at the Roseburg Country club was the benefit bridge tea given by Badoura club, Nydia temple, Daughter! of the Nile. A large group of women of Roseburg and vicinity gathered at the clubhouse for an after noon of cards. The affair benefited the Shrine hospital. The clubroom was brightened with fall leaves, shrubbery and asters. The tea table was artistically centered with asters and matching tapers. Presiding at the Mrs. A. J. Young and Mrs. Guy Prizes at bridge were won bv Mrs. Rolstyn Bridges, first; Mrs. Harold Haskin, second; Mrs. H. R. Reynolds, low and Mrs. Clyde Fullerton, grand slam prize. Plans were also made for a booth to be placed at the Veter ans hnsiptal carnival. Mrs. Wick ham will be chairman assisted by Mrs. Crawford for the purchase of merchandise; Mrs. Treva Jones and Martha Wells for prizes. WOMAN'S CLUB TO HOLD FLOWER SHOW DESPITE CONTINUING HEAVY FROST Roseburg Woman's club, In spite of heavy frost the past few nights, is going ahead with plans for the fall flower show to be an event of Tuesday and Wed nesday of the coming week at th Methodist church. Mrs. P. E. Beaver, chairman of the show, states a large exhibit of cacti and succulents is plan ned. The nurseries and florists are planning large displays, she slated, and anyone having pic tures of plants or their gardens are asked to loan them for the tw o day show. Garden hooks and magazines will be displayed also. Mrs. Beav er added that shrubs, bulbs and plants will be on sale and more of these items are desired. Also candy donations will be accepted by the candy sale chairman. An added feature of the show this year will be a bird division.
