The lake trout-often called Mackinaw will be hatched from eggs at the rale of 100,000 a year and when six Inches long will be liberated in the lake high In the Cascades near the Wil lamette highway. Mackinaw were planted in Odell lake more than 30 years ago but not enough maintained themselves to make good fishing. However, Dr. John Rayner, chief of the commission's fish ery operations, said It was be lieved that by rearing them to five or six Inches, they would thrive.
