CAMP FIRE GIRLS HOLD MEETING Maricopa Camp Fire girls met with Zonell Wilson, and her father reported at the meeting that the girls may use a small house of Mr. Wilson's for a meeting place. Dr. C. K. Kincaid, supervisor of tha Madison, Wis., immunization program, says child isn't crying about needle at all, merely objecting to being held down or restrained. Chocolate Ice Cream Nut Balls (Serves 4 6) One quart chocolate Ice cream (hulk), 1 1-2 cups finely chopped nut meats. 1 cup chocolate sauc Shape Ice cream into 8 small or 6 large balls with an ice cream scoop. Drop each one into nuts and roll around with a spoon -in-til the ball is all coated with nuts. Place in serving dishes. Serve with chocolate sauce. Ice Cream Pie (Serves 46) Three cups finely crumbled or rolled ginger cookies. 6 table spoons finely chopped almonds or pecans. 6 tablespoons -ugar, 1-2 cup melted butter, 4 table spoons evaporated milk or light cream, 1 quart vanilla or any preferred flavor bulk cg cream. Mix cookie crumbs with nuts, sugar, melted butter and cream. Take out 3-4 cupful and set aside. Pat the rest firmly into bottom and around sides of an 8-lnm pie plate and chill thoroughly. Just Defore serving, fill with small scoops of Ice cream, or smooth the ice cream into tne pie shell. (Let the ice cream stand at room temperature for about 10 minutes to soften alight ly. I Sprinkle reserved crumbs over top and serve at once. Or line ice cube tray with crumb mixture, fill with ice cream, sprinkle with crumbs and put back in freezing compartment to keep frozen until ready to serve. SHIRLEY TEMPLE SEEKS DIVORCE Shirley Temple's attorney has announced that tha blonde, one-time child film star, and her husband, John Agar, have separated and she will seek a divo.ee. Tha announcement was made in Hollywood. The 21-year-old actress who made a comeback as an adult and Agar, are shown admiring their daughter, Linda. They were married in 1945. The success of that lesson in thrift depends on how temptingly you serve those leftover vegetables and those small amounts of meat, fowl and fish from previous meals. Here's one formula for using leftover ham: Ham Souffle (Makes 6 servings) Six tablespoons quickcooking tapioca, 1-4 teapoon salt. 1-8 tea spoon pepper, 2 teaspoons grated onion. 34 cup milk. 3 4 cup ham or chicken stock, or 3-4 cup watrr and 2 bouillon cubes (chicken flavor!. 1 cup ground cooked ham, 2 tablespoons chopped par slev. 3 egg yolks beaten until thick and lemon colored, 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten. Combine quickcooking tapioca salt, pepper, onion, milk and stock In saucepan. Place over medium heat and cook until mix ture comes to a full boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add ham and parsley. Cool slight ly while beating eggs. Add egg yokes and mix well. Add very gradually to egg whites, folding In thoroughly. Turn into greased 2-quart baking dish. Place in pan of hot water. Bake in moderate oven 1350 degrees F.) one hour, or until souffle Is firm. Jellied salad offers a goon way of serving leftover vegetables. Many nutritionists believe that reheating vegetables destroys some of their vitamin content. Use that leftover vegetable water combined with a bouillon cube to give your salad a livelier flavor. (Makes S servings) One package lemon flavored gelatin, 2 cups hot water and vegetable stock and 1 bouillon cube, 2 tablespoons vinegar, 3-4 teaspoon salt, dash pepper, 3-4 teaspoon celery salt, J4 teaspoon scraped onion,, 34 cup onokea diced carrots, cup roosra peas. Dissolve gelatin in not sux-n. Add vinegar, salt. DeDPer. celery salt and onion. Chili until slightly thickened. Then fold in vege tables. Turn into Individual molds. Chill until firm. Vnmold on crisp lettuce, sprinkle with French dressing. Serve with mayonnaise. For a more substantial entree: Prepare gelatin mixture as di rected above. Cover bottom of ring mold with slightly thickened gelatin. Arrange slices ot nam cooked egg against sides of mold. LADY ELKS CARD PARTY TO BE TONIGHT With final plans complete for the public card party to be held at the Elks temple tonight com mittees are looking forward to a successful evening. During the course of the evening an informal fall fashion showing will he pre sented bv the Fashion Center. Many reservations have been made by residents of the commu nity and Lady Elks report a good pre sale of tickets. The affair will begin at 8 o'clock in the Terrace room.
