Thurt., Ssjpt. 22, 1949 Closures Lifted On Douglas Areas; Caution Enjoined Th Douglas Foret Protective Rsaodatlon announced that by special proclamation of the gov ernor, all closure! on areas of travel except by permit have been lifted. That Include! the large closed area west of Rosenurg and also the area north of Klkton. This action was made possible by the recent rains which eased the extreme fire hazard that has existed during the current fire season. The public is urged, how ever, to continue to use care while in the woods to prevent forest fires. Conditions are such that with a few more days of dry weather the situation could again be critical.
