COLLEY MARRY Miss Eva Swearlngen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Swear lngen, of Drain became the bride of Ted E. Colley, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Sharon Colley of Elk ton, Sept. 2, at the Methodist church in Eugene with Rev. Dav id Seaman officiating. The bride was lovely In a pas tel pink afternoon dress with a high neckline. She wore a pearl necklace, a gift of the bride groom, and a lapel watch belong ing to her paternal grandmother. Her corsage was an orchid. Only atlendant of the bride was Miss Doris Smith, who wore a light tan suit with green ac cessories and a corsage of a sing le gardenia with red rosebuds. Parrel Swearlngen, brother of the bride, was best man. Following a honeymoon to points in northern Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Colley are now at home to their friends at Elkton. KELLOGG GRANGE HAS MEETING ON SATURDAY Kellogg Grange met Saturday night at the hall with Grant Mad ison, master, presiding. It was voted to put on a Booster Night program in the near future. Juvenile Grange had 13 mem bers, assistant matron and two visitors present. Master Gary Bullock presided at the session, j TANDA GROUP HAS INTERESTING MEETING The Tanda Camp Fire girls, of ficers and progiam committee met Tuesday evening at the Can yonvllle city hall to plan activi ties for their first month of the new year. The girls decided to meet every Thursday after school at the city hall, the first meeting to be Thursday, Sept 22, to work on their head banus. A symbol treasure hunt is planned for Saturday, Sept. 24, with Mrs. Robert Proctor. Other plans for the first month include a tea to be given honoring promi nent women of this community, i Halloween friendship party and bulb planting day. Joyce Mault was appointed song leader; Janet Lewis, Junior assis tant guardian and Nancy Claxton, sports and games leader. Mrs. Margaret McGee gave a report on Grand chapter, which she attended in Portland this sum mer, and also gave an account of her trip to the National Educa tion Association held in Boston, Mass. Mrs. Gill gave an account of her trip to Kansas and Minnesota. Mrs. Lucia Snyder reported on her recent trip to Grand Coulee dam, Mt. Rainier and Timberline lodge.
