Mrs. Lyle Fenner
Claimed By Death
Mri. Lyle (Marianne) Fenner,
28, died suddenly early this morn
ing at Mercy hospital.
She was born Nov. 11, 1920, in
Sweden and came to the United
Statea 26 yeara ago. She had
been a reiident of Oregon lor
live yeara, living the last 18
monlhi in Roseburg.
Mrs. Fenner'i husband, Lyle,
1406 Riverside drive, la an an
nouncer for radio station KRNR,
Roseburg.
She waa a member of the
Salem Lutheran church.
Surviving, besides the widower,
are three sons, Michael and
David, and an infant born last
night.
Also surviving are Mrs. Fen
Tier's father, Carl U. Johnson,
Potlatch, Ida.; her mother, Mrs.
Vendla Anderson. Spokane,
Wash., and a brother, Carl V.
Johnson, Spokane.
Funeral services will be held
In the Chapel of the Roses, Rose
hure Funeral home. Saturday,
Aug. 6, at 11 a. m. Vault Inter
ment will follow In the Masonic
cemetery.

was the fifth anniversary of the
people' republic of Macedonia, a
jederal state-within Jugoslavia.

p. m. Monday on Nebo road sent
a Roseburg woman to Mercy hos
pital and damaged all three ve
hicles Involved, according to
Sheriff O. T. Carter.
Mrs. F. M. Hill, passenger In
the car driven by her husband,
was hospitalized with cuts and
bruises following a head-on col
lision with a car driven by Robert
Donald Dock, aiso of Roseburg.
Sheriff Carter said the third car,
driven bv Bernard E. Plelfler.
Nampa. fdaho. ran Into the rear
of the Hill vehicle following the
initial collision.

Mrs. Jacklyn Lee, 19, was re
moved from an Iron lung for de
livery of the premature three
pound girl Monday. She had been
admitted to the hospital only two
days previously. She waa strick
en suddenly with polio in the sev
enth month of pregnancy.
Dr. John . Fiorino had raced
against time In the 20 minutes
the young mother was out of the
mechanical breathing device. An
attendant gave Mrs. Lee artifi
cial respiration and pumped oxy
gen Into her lungs by hand.
Adult Driving School
Course Is Extended
Adult driving school being spon
sored by the Junior Chamber of
Commerce will continue another
two weeks, it was announced by
Douglas Tudor, chairman.
The school started two weeks
ago with registration of 19 per
sons. Attendance has averaeed be
tween 10 and IS persons at each
class. Sessions, held three times
weekly at Adair's parking lot,
now will be held only on Monday
and Friday evenings, said Tudor.

lands parliament ratified the
North Atlantic treaty today. The
vote was 29 to 2.
This completed parliamentary
action by The Netherlands and
constituted the next to the last
stage before the treaty goes into
effect.
All the original partners in the
oact the United States, Britain,
France, Canada, Belgium, The
Netherlands and Luxembourg
now have ratified the accord.
The treaty will become for
mally effective when the instru
ments of ratification of the vari
ous governments are deposited in
