An outstand ing feature of the table, in addi tion to the traditional bride and groom cake, was the punch bowl which was carved from ice. Airs. Reynolds is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Caraway of Glendale, and Mr. Reynolds is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Reynolds. Sr., also of Glendale. Mrs. Reynolds was born here, and both young people have at tended the Glendale schools. The Rev. Paul S. Mellish, pastor, heard the couple repeat their vows at three o'clock in the aft ernoon. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Guy Harmon of Eu gene and Mr. Preston is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Pres ton of Roseburg. Dressed in white slipper satin the bride was escorted to the al tar and given in marriage by her father. Her dress was made with a fitted bodice and long sleeves and the skirt was trimmed with tiny ruffles of satin and lace fa shioned over hoops. Her train was full court length and she wore a fingertip veil of illusion held in place by a starched lace Dutch cap dotted with seed pearls and tiny wreath of shat tered carnations. Her flowers were a cascade of stephanotis centered with a while orchid and she carried a lace and linen handkerchief loaned bv Mrs. E. D. Hamacher of Medford and her Jobs Daughters prayerbook. The skirt Mrs. James Burrows of McMInn caught at the hemline with tinylville, sister of the bride-groom, MISSION RALLY AND SUNDAY SCHOOL PICNIC IS LARGE AFFAIR SUNDAY The ioint mission rally and Sun day school picnic of St. Paul's Lutheran church of Roseburg and St. John's Lutheran church of Sutherlin was a large and very enjoyable affair of Sunday at the veterans nospilai picnic grounos. The morning service opened at ten-'hirty o'clock with Rev. Rich ard Gross of Cottage Grove pre senting the powerful sermon on the text, "We must redeem the times." The Joint choirs of the two churches, under the direction of Mrs. H. Perkey, sang "O Praise and Bless the Lr.rd," by Bach. There were more than 200 members and friends of the two churches in attendance. A delega tion from Trinity Lutheran church In Cottage Grove and also from Trinity Lutheran church In Oregon City also enjoyed the oc cosion. The entire offering for the day was set aside for the mission tioasury of the Lutheran church. A potluck luncheon was enjoyed at noon with ladies of both con gregations in charge. Games and contests were enjoyed by the young as well as the adults in ad dition to a baseball game played by men of the two churches and a team of veterans from the hospital.
