en wedding anniversary:
A True Story
By FLORENCE PFAFF
Would you like me to tell you a
story,
One that Is really true,
One with a happy ending?
Listen, I'll tell it to you.
One time In a small school in
Texas,
When the day was so sunny and
fine
A sweet little maiden of seven
Saw a shy new boy of nine.
She sensed the poor lad's dis
comfort In her dear Utile friendly heart,
And she said. "Won't you play
with us, Jimmie?
The game is just ready to start"
He accepted. They played, and
the children
Soon became playmates and
friends.
That's how the story is started
You'll presently hear how it
ends.
In their beautiful home on the
Umpqua,
With their nearest and dearest
ones there
Sit the king and the queen in
their kingdom
A romantic and lovable pair.
So gracious, so kindly and friend
ly As they welcome their friends
old and new
Who have come to help share the
occasion
Bringing gifts and their best
wishes, too.
For it's only once in a lifetime
Comes the time when we can
ail say
"May God ever bless these dear
Henslees.
Tis their own Golden Wedding
