WASHINGTON, July 13. W
Senator Morse (R-Ore) said
yesterday he is opposed to sell
ing to private utilities at the
dams power generated by the
government hydro-electric proj
ects. He made' the statement in a
telegram to Henry Hansen, of
the Capital Press of Salem, Ore.
"I am opposed to the idea that
after the great power dams of
the Pacific Northwest have been
built and paid for by the tax-
divorce decree of Anna Lee Cal
houn, bride No. 3, and the death
certificate of Edith McKlim, wife
No. 1. Wife No. 2 was Flora Con
ners. Fatima's father, Komar Hussan,
56, a plaintiff, was present - in
court.
"Give him what's coming," Hus
san shouted, shaking his fist at
his son-in-law.
payers private utilities should' be
given special privilege priority
by way of taking ail the power
they want at the bus bar laami
sites," Morse said.
"I think private utilities are
entitled to fair consideration In
respect to negotiating contracts
with the government for sale of
power but 1 think the people of
the area are entitled to have the
power distributed to them over
the Bonneville rower Aamims
tration transmission grid system
if they want to obtain their power
that way. l shall oppose any at
tempt on the part of the private
utilities to block the BPA trans
mission grid system."
