Monday through Saturday) then perhaps you caught the couple of letters Mel Venter read on the Thursday morning show from a listener In Eugene and from a listener in Roseburg. This Eugene character stated flatly that "Eugene is the- Lumber Capital of the world" . and the loyal RosetJurgian also acclaimed Roseburg to be the holder of that title. Venter and his crew assumed an objective view, under the circumstances, but what we ought to do now is flood the "Break fast Gang" show with postcards and letters giving Roseburg proper placement in the lumber industry standing. C'mon ... cooperate! Address your letters to "The Breakfast Gang" KFRC San Fran cisco, California. Thanks. The "Cisco Kid" had a reputation of helping the deserv ing, and he upholds It In the atory of "The Feud," the episode to be dramatized on tonight's "Cisco" adventure at 7:30. Seems that Duchin himself had to be begged and persuaded to practice the piano in his laming days . . . and he'll discuss "How to Get Junior to Practice the Piano Regularly" on the program. Members of the entire Yankee Baaeball Club, ranging from playera to coachea to business executives, will vie for valuable merchandise prizes during tomorrow night'a "Take : ' a Number" quiz-game broadcast. They include federal loans to industry for expansion, drafting of a "fully formulated" set of public works plans, proposal for farm living standards, and broad er coverage and bigger payments under the social security and job less pay programs. These were among the "rever sible" features of the stabilization plan Mr. Truman submitted to the new Congress six months ago. There may, of course, be other ones or new twists to the basic proposals. They expected a renewed call for a raise in the minimum wage from 40 cents an hour to 75 cents.
