PARTY TO CELEBRATE
FOURTH BIRTHOAY
Jerry Boucock, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Verdun Boucock, celebrated
his fourth birthday at a delight
ful party Wednesday. The guests
enjoyed the wading pool during
the early afternoon, after which
the group went to the Boucock
home for refreshments.
Balloons, colored hats and
whistles were presented to the
guests. Lovely gifts were given
to Jerry from Mrs. Ed Radigan
and son, Ronnie; Mrs. Darrell

Miss Lorraine Robertson
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace G. Robertson of Cottage Grove announce
the engagement of their only daughter, Miss Lorraine Adelle, to
Daniel Andriesian, son of Mr. and Mrs; Aram Andriesian, of Drain.
The Robertson family resided in Roseburg until 1946, when they
moved to Cottage Grove. No date has been set for the wedding.

Spoitscaster Mel Allen will provide the, latest standings for the
poll-selection of All-Star players during his broadcast this afternoon
at 4. The Major Leaguers who will play in the July 12 All-Star
Game at Ebbets Field, Brooklyn, are chosen by fans throughout
the country, position by position. Allen plans to .continue this
feature on his broadcasts every week until the final All-Star teams,
representing the American and National Leagues, are chosen. This
evening's "Meet the Press" guest at 6 will be Senator John L.
McClellan (Demo.) of Arkansas. Special shot at 6:45 tonight will
feature Congressman Harris Ellsworth in a 15-minute transcribed
session.
SUNDAY: "The Revenge of Genghis Khan" titles Roger
Elliot's "House of Mystery" program at one p.m. At 2:30,
"The Roy Rogers Show" presents "The Mystery of Squatters
Island" when a raging forest fire interrupts a bandit chase
by the King of the Cowboys. A medium who told her clients
things only a ghost oould know Is the adversary of "Nick
Carter, Master Detective" during the "Case of the Custom
Made Corpse" at 3:30 p.m. A Sydney Marshal authored
drama of the West, titled "The Postmistress of Laurel Run,"
will be presented by "The Family Theater" tomorrow at
4:30. The story tells of a young woman who married a
mining engineer and, after being widowed by a mine cave
In, surmounted many obstacles to becom a leading figure
In her community.
The hear'-warmlng story of how "Springdale's" citizens come
to the aid of the ailing retired City Hall janitor is told during to
morrow night's "Mayor of the Town" broadcast. The aging man's
health Is restored when his neighbors present him with a horse
named Nellie. The story, titled "Seeing Nellie Home," stars Lionel
Barrymore as the Mayor, Conrad Binyon as Butch, and Agnes
Moorehead as Marilly. (7:00-7:30 p.m.) Leslie Charteris, author of
the ever popular "The Saint" stories, will be the guest panelist for
tomorrow night's "Twenty Questions" session at 8.
