With Reedsport . ahead .3-2, in the top of the seventh, Vic Lewis was replaced by pinch-hitter Bunky Hill when Roseburg came to bat. During the inning, Rose burg scored five times. Roy Long came into the game In the top of the eighth. ' One group said Lewis was out of the game when Hill took over. Rose burg went ahead after that, so the succeeding pitcher was credit ed with the win. . The other, group says Lewis was the winner, as Long had not thrown a ball until after the game was won. The rule book apparently does not cover the situation. Perhaps "The Phantom" won the game for the Chiefs, Who knows?
