Rich ards of Monmouth, to Alfred Lee Pfeifer, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Pfeifer of Glide. Both Miss Richards and Mr. Pfeifer are attending Oregon State College. The bride-elect is affiliated with Alpha Delta Pi social sorority and Mr. Pfeifer is a member of Alpha Sigma Phi social fraternity. He was gradu ated from Glide High School in June, 1945. A treasure hunt held Sunday morning at the bride-elect's so rority house, ended with the re vealing of the engagement news. A late summer wedding is plan ned by the couple. They will re side in Corvallis, as they plan to complete their studies at Ore gon State College. HELPING HAND CLUB HAS MEETING AT WALKER HOME WEDNESDAY The Helping Hand Club of Ed cnbower met Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Elmer Walker for a potluck luncheon. Birthday gifts were presented to Mrs. Walbrecht, Mrs. Niday and Mrs. Schnore. whose birthdays occured during me month. A chair was upholstered for the hostess during the afternoon.
