DISCUSSION TEA
CLOSES FULLERTON
P.-T. A. FOR SEASON
Monday afternoon the round
table group, with Mrs. J. M.
Boyles, retiring president as
chairman, at Fullerton P.-T. A.'s
last discussion tea of the spring
was composed of attentive lis
teners as Mrs. R. G. Phillips laid
the basis for discussion by brief
ing an article from the May Is
sue of the National P.-T. A. mag
azine on "Washington Polls
Young Movie Goers."
She brought out the fact as
revealed in the poll, (hat most
parents make little effort to
have children see approved films
and usually do not attend with
them. Over half of the young
sters Indicated they simply went
to what was on at the neighbor
hood theater.
Response from the discussion
group was lively and spontan
eous and concluded with Mrs.
Barney Root's review of approved
moving pictures which will be
showing in this city in the next
fr-w weeks.
Hostesses for the tea were
Mrs. J. M. Boyles, retiring presi
dent, and Mrs. N. D. Johnson,
incoming president.
