Harrah and W. C. Holmes, both
employed by Standard Oil Co:, re
turned to their homes in Rose
burg Thursday night, following
a stay in Portland on business.
Social Saturday Members of
the Roseburg Country Club and
their invited guests are asked to
attend a social and card party
Saturday night at 8 o'clock at the
cluhouse. Refreshments will be
served at 11 p. m. The party is
being sponsored by the golf com
mittee of the women club members.
Vitltort Leave Mr. and Mrs.
A. F. Siebelkorn left Wednesday
for their home in Seattle, follow
ing a visit in Roseburg with the
latter's sister and two brothers,
Mrs. Hubert Wright and Rudolph
and Fred Rltzman. The Siehel
rkorns stopped here miring the
holidays enroute to California on
a vacation trip and visited again
enroute home this week.

cruiting base there, according to
word received here by the latter's
mother, Mrs. Eugene Little. The
dog has been dressed in a, Marine
outfit with money bags on both
sides of him. "Buster stands in
front of the Bellingham Penney
Co. store and receives donations
for the Infantile Paralysis fund.

Oakley left today for Portland
to bring back his wife and their
son, Scott, from Wilcox Memorial
hospital, where the baby was

Attending Convention Bruce
Yeager, John P. Amacher and
Charles V. Stanton left Thursday
for Corvallis, where they will
represent the Roseburg Rod and
Gun Club at the annual two-day
convention of the Oregon Wild
life Federation, with which the
Roseburg club is affiliated.
Meeting Monday -
The annual
meeting and potluck dinner of
St. George's Episcopal Church
will be held Monday night at 6:30
o'clock at the parish hall on East
Cass Street. Coffee, rolls and
dessert will be furnished. Those
attending are asked to bring a
covered dish or salad.

74. Mrs. Hess was taken by car
to Grants Pass by A. F. Shukle
of this city, who returned here
last night. Dr. Hess mother, Mrs.
O. A. Hess of Portland, came to
Roseburg, to be with him and to
take care of the O. R. Hess small
daughter, Susan.
