A new "electrical nerve," which acts as a nubititut for human
nerves affected by infantile or other paralysis, is demonstrated at
the first international polio conference in New York. The devic
generates mild electric currents which replace lost nerves. They
caue muscles to tense, swell and relax the same as they do in
mild exercise. This helps to restore limbs wasted by polio. The
"electric' nerve was developed by General Electric engineers and
the G-E X-ray corporation.
