90 and 9 Planning
Annual Boys' Camp
The Rosehurg Christian
Church 90 and 9 men'i organiza
tion Monday night voted to
change the regular meeting night
from the third to the fourth Mon
day nighti of each month. For
the next meeting, August 23, an
Invitation is being extended to
the men from the other Christian
Churches of Douglas County.
Plans were made to sponsor
several boys from the church to
the annual Christian boys' camo
at Bridge, near Myrtle Point. The
nope was expressed that at least
15 boys from the church would be
able to attend. The camp, sched
uled from August 15 through
August 21, Is open to all boys 10
to 14 years of age. The vouth
conference for boys and girls
ages 12 through 23 will be Aug
ust 8 through August 14.

Firemen Answer Calls
To Three Minor Fires
The Roseburg Fire Department
had a busy time last night, with
three calls In less than two hours,
but none of the fires caused any
damage.
The firemen were called at 6
p.m. to a sawdust fl-e behind
Mayor Albert G. Flegel's ware
house. At 6:15 a grass fire oc
curred at 1740 No. Stephens, and
again at 7:60 the Department
was called to quench a fire at
Avenue A and East Fourth Street.

the show began a three weeks'
run In Tokyo in the Stillwell thea
ter July 9. The play was given
next at the Ernie Pyle Theater,
then travelled to the Bill Chlcker

part of their vacation there.

at Gold Beach. Ore., where they

Keel and son. Tommy, have re
turned to their home in Roseburg,
following a three weeks' trip.
They visited Mr. Keel's brother
and sisters at Humvtlle. Ala.;
with his brolhe at Atlanta, Ga.;
with Mrs. Keel's parents In Kan
