Melting to Be Held The
Woman's Society of the First
Presbyterian Church will meet
Thursday at a 1:30 o'clock dessert-luncheon

Northslde Sunshine Club will
meet Thursday afternoon at the
home of Mrs. W. O. Patterson in
Laurel wood.
Here From Salem Mrs. George
Kpauer of Salem spent Tuesday
in Roseburg visiting friends and
attending to business. The Spauer
family formerly made their home
here.
Convalescing Mrs. George
Kohlhagen of Roseburg, who has
been seriously ill and receiving
medical treatment in a Portland
hospital, is now reported to be
ronvaleseing satisfactorily at the
home of her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Mc
Henry, and family, in East More
land, Portland.
Visit at Schulze Home Mr. and
Mrs. Eric Hagstrom of Portland
spent several davs this week visit
ing In Hnsebur? at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schulze. Mr.
Hagstrom was construction fore
man of the sawmill which burnei
at Myrtle Creek.
Bible Class to Meet- The Wes
ley Bible Class of the Methodist
Church will hold its regular fel
lowship meeting and pot luck sup
per Friday evening, March 15,
at 6:30 o'clock at the church par
lors. Members are requested to
bring n hot dish and their own

George P. Sheridan Dies
George P. Sheridan, native of
Roseburg, and for nianv years In

W. W. Lath Pauses
Willis Wilson l.ash, G-l, died at
County Hospital In Roseburg Mon
day March 11. He was born Dec.
7, 1 KH1 , in Iowa and had been a
resident of Roseburg for the last
twenty-five years.
Graveside services In charge of
the Roseburg Funeral Home will
be held Saturday, March IB, at
10 A. M. with Kenneth Knox of
ficlntine in the Melrose cemetery.

week in Coquille at the Clark
home, while Mrs. Pearson and
her mother, Mrs. W. E. Cooper,
of Dillard were in Portland on
business.
