Improving Harry Turnbull,
Ollde, who was seriously burned
in a fire at his home a week ago
today, which caused the death of
Ills small daughter, Beverly
I-oulse, is now reported to be Im
proved at Mercy hospital.
Back From Seattle Mr. and
Mrs. O. S. Chambers have re
turned to their home In Laurel
wood, following a week's stav in
Seattle visiting their son. Private
Sheldon Chambers, who has left
for overseas service in the U. S.
army of occupation.

Foreign Wars Saturday, February

Allister has returned to his home
In Eucene, following a two-day
stay in Roseburg visiting his
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and
Mrs. Rny Hruton and familv. on
Kane stj-et, and with other rela
tives and friends. He formerly
made his home in Roseburg.

Rosemary Evans has returned to
her studies at Oregon State Col
lege, where she is a senior, fol
lowing a few days in Roseburg
visiting at the home of her brother-in-law
and sister, Mr. and Mrs.
R. L. Adams, and family, in Sun
nydale addition.

public has been Invited to enjoy
a social affair and card party to
be held Saturday evening Feb.
9 at the Glide Grange hall.

in five-hundred and pinochle, as

Discharged From Service Sgt.
George Wilson Bacher, who serv
ed with the 1933rd Air Corps En
gineers, has been discharged from
service at Fort Lewis, Wash., and
is now with his wife, the former
June Masters, enjoying a stay at
Bandon, before returning to their
ranch home at Winston. Sgt.
Bacher has the American Theater
of Operations medal. Pacific
Asiatic Theater medal and the
Good Conduct and Victory med
als. He is the son of Mrs. G, J.
Bacher of Roseburg.

Expected Home Kenneth W.
Cooper recently discharged from
the U. S. Navy at Bremerton,

week to visit his parents. Mr.

Return to Portland Mr. and
