Ramsdell has returned here, fol
lowing movinp' his wife and two
children to Salem Saturdav. Mr.
Ramsdell. a member of KRNR
radio staff, has been teaching in
Senior High here for a number
of vears and recently signed a
contract with the Salem Hieh
school. Mr. Ramsdell will loin his
family in Salem wthin a short
time.

Able to Be Up E. O. Rickli,
who recently underwent a serious
major operation at the Letter
man hospital in San Francisco, is
reported to be roatlv improved
and able to walk a part of every
dav. Mr. Rickli. a telegrapher for
the Southern Pacific company in
Roseburg, was stricken several
weeks atro and taken to San Fran
cisco for treatment. Mrs. Rickli
is witli him.
Back From Vacation Mr. and
Mrs. E. A. Pearson and daughter,
Mary Lvnn, and son, Donald,
have returned to their home on
Reservoir avenue, following a
vacation at Neskowin and a few
days in Portland visiting rela
tives and attending to business.
Mr. Pearson is distributor for the
Ccneral, Petroleum company in
Roseburg.

Wash., suffered fractured ribs
and shoulder blade, and possible
spinal injury; . .
Coroner Rains said the driver
apparently fell asleep. The trio

Patrick Lewis, Roseburg
Resident 40 Years, Dies
Patrick Lewis, 74, a resident of
the Roseburg community for the
past -It) years, died Monday at
the County hospital. He was born
March IS,' 1S71, in Ireland.'
Graveside services in charge of
the Roseburg Funeral home will
be held Wednesday at 4 P. M. in
Civil Bend cemetery, conducted
by Rev. Morris Roach.

William Richard Neas,
Oakland Resident, Dies
William Richard Neas, 77, died
Monday at his home in Oakland,
following a long illness. He was
born March 10, 18US, at Newport,
Tenn., and moved to Oakland at
the age of 18, where lie perma
nently resided. He was well
known in Oakland, where he was
engaged for many years as a
contractor. Surviving are his
wife, Grace Neas; a son, Dean
Neas, and a brother, J. Horace
