WORLD WAR II
By Alden Harness
In foreign countries and on seas.
Where war has changed the
destinies
Of ruthless nations that we
fight;
Where our brave soldiers die
that we
Might in a brighter future be
From menace of the greed and
might
Of foes that now retreat before
Our mighty guns that roar and
roar;
And where we rend and widely
tear
And break defenses everywhere.
The strong defenses that these
foes
Constructed to withstand our
blows,
Unceasing love and work
declare
That God is in each battle there
And that His thoughts forever
