VISITS REBEKAH LODGE
HERE TUESDAY EVENING
The Roseburg Rebekah lodge
No. 41 hold one of the most in
teresting meetings of the year on
Tuesday evening, March 9, when
Miss Madeline Rossner, president
of the Rebekah Assembly of Ore
gon made her otlicial visit. Miss
Rossner was accompanied by the
assembly marshall, Mrs. Ossie
Fields, of Portland and assembly
conductor, Elizabeth Buhn of
Grants Pass.
The Theta Rho Girls club of
Roseburg presented a very beau
tiful and impressive "Rose Drill."
The girls were dressel in pastel
yolored formal dresses, and at the
f lose of the drill each presented
a beautiful red rose to President
Rossner, who responded most
graciously to this tribute.
The Rebekah degree was con
ferred upon the following candi

A delegation from Umpqua
Jodge at Elkton, numbering six
J.'cn members, and twenty-one
from Myrtle Creek were present
ed in a body and welcomed. Other
lodges represented in the fifty
nine visitors present were Suther
lin, Myrtle Point, Cottage Grove,
Ashland, Giants Pass, Dayton,

President Rossner gave a short
address stressing cooperation and
fraternalism. Snort talks were
also given by Ossie Fields, Eliza
beth Buhn, Ralph Russell, Edythe
Kelley, and Ethel Bailey.

prizes were won by Mrs. Argie

at a 6:30 potluck quarterly birth
day dinner honoring members
