Beautiful bouquets of daffodils und yellow jasmine formed a pretty spring motif for the occasion. Covers were placed for Mrs. Fred Asam, Mrs. Bruce Mellls, Mrs. John Ulrich, Mrs. Theo Bond, Mrs. C. M. Stark, Mrs. Del--..mar Ramsdell, Mrs. E. S. Hall, Mrs. Charles Doerner and the hostesses, Mrs. Beard and Mrs. laws. Mrs. Asam presented the very interesting review of the book, "The Keys of the Kingdom," which was greatly enjoyed. The next meeting will be a one o'clock luncheon at the home of Mrs. Del mar Ramsdell on Military street, March 9, with Mrs. Charles Doer ner reviewing the book, "The Family." NORMA FORELL IS HONORED AT FAREWELL PARTY WEDNESDAY NIGHT Miss Nancy Phillips entertained at a delightful farewell party Wednesday evening at her home honoring Norma Forell, who is leaving for Norman, Okla., to visit Ed Sindt, who is in training In the U. S. forces. Games were played and lovely Odfts were presented to the guest if honor, after which refresh ments were served at a table beautifully appointed and center ed with a bouquet of tulips and jonquils. L. Phillips and the hostess, Miss Nancy Phillips. F. S. CLUB HAS ENJOYABLE MEETING TUESDAY AFTERNOON The F. S. club held a very en joyable meeting Tuesday after noon at the home of-Mr. C. H. Wickham. Decorations for the oc- a'asion carried out the George Vashington patriotic motif. Sewing and visiting were en joved until the tea hour, when Mrs. Wickham served delicious refreshments to: Mrs. T. W. Thomason, Mrs. J. F. Byrd, Mrs. B. H. Laird, Mrs. Harry F. Hat field, Mrs. R. W. Meissner, Mrs. G. R. Chapman, Mrs. H. T. Bloom, Mrs. A. J. Ford and Miss Marie Martens. The next meeting will be March 23 at the home of Mrs. H. T. Bloom. MRS. A. E. BURTON CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY AT ENJOYABLE DINNER Mrs. A. E. Burton celebrated her birthday anniversary at a very enjoyable dinner at her home. The rooms were lovely with colorful flowers. DUNN'S BIBLE CLASS TO MEET MONDAY Dr. R. L. Dunn's non-denominational Bible study class will re sume meeting Monday night at 7:-l5 at the dining hall of the Douglas hotel, following a two weeks vacation session. The evening's topic will be "Christ before the throne and the Four Horsemen of the Apoca Q:.vpse." Registration Now In Operation Here Several filings of petitions for birth registrations under the emergency measure recently passed by the state legislature already have been made, County Clerk Roy Agee announced today. The law, which was immediately enacted following affixing or Governor Snell's signature, pro vides that birth certificates may be issued by the state registrar upon authority of the circuit court. Persons needing lo establish dale and place of birth may now file petitions with the circuit court. Forms of pel II Ion are available al Ihe office of the county clerk. The applicant submits his pe tition to Ihe circuit court which will provide a lime for hearing, at which the applicant may sub mit evidence and testimony.
