teenth wedding anniversary of
Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Lee and a
lovely corsage was presented to
Mrs. Lee. The birthdays of Ward
Cummings and E. C. Patterson
were also celebrated and gifts
were given to them.
A delightful potluck supper
was served, followed by cards
and visiting.

Roseburg Chapter of Eastern
Star entertained the DeMolay
boys at a delightful six-thirty o'
clock potluck supper at the Ma
sonic temple Thursday evening.
Mrs. W. M. Campbell and Mrs.
Maurice J. Newland were joint
chairman and were assisted by
Mrs. L. L. Wimberly, Mrs. Elma
Stephens, Mrs. H. C. Parslow,
Mrs. Joseph Fredrickson, Mrs. A.
E. Elliott, Mrs.,H. R. Nerbas and
Mrs. J. A. Caraway.
Mrs. Wimberly had charge of
the tables, which were beauti
fully decorated in the Washing
ton's birthday motif and bouquets
of daffodils, pussywillows and
flowering quince. Covers were
placed for seventy-five.
Mrs. S. J. Shoemaker, worthy
matron, presided over a short
chapter meeting. Two lovely
numbers by the Roseburg Men's
Glee club, under the direction of
R. M. Church, were enjoyed, fol
lowed by vocal solos by Herbert
Heinz and R. M. Church, and two
very beautiful piano solos by Mrs,
Homer Grow. Group singing
closed the program with Mrs.
Grow accompanying , the num

The George Starmer Auxiliary
sewing club met Tuesday after
noon at 829 Reservoir avenue
with Mrs. Nettie J. Craig and
Mrs. Lenoro Bales as hostesses.
The group completed a quilt
and a social hour of games fol
lowed, after which Mrs. Craig
and Mrs. Bales served lovely re
freshments to Pearl Shugart.

group of children last Friday,
February 13, at her home with

CROUCHER FAMILY
REUNION IS LARGE
AFFAIR OF SUNDAY
On Sunday, February 15, an af
fair that is of much Interest to
the community was the reunion
of the Crouchcr families at the
old home place In Olalla, honor
ing Mrs. Isabel Croucher Buzby,
who has recently arrived here
from Fairbanks, Alaska, for a
few weeks' visit with her broth
ers and sisters and their families,
also with friends. Forty-five rela
tives and friends attended, with
fifteen members of the various
families unable to be present.
A very delicious potluck dinner
was enjoyed at one o'clock, serv
ed cafeteria style by the ladles.
Modern and old-time music and
visiting were enjoyed by all dur
ing the afternoon hours. Special
music was played by Henry
Croucher on . the two-hundred-year-old
violin (heirloom of the
family), accompanied by Mrs.
Buzby on the piano.
This is the first time This many
of the Crouehors were ever to
gether at one time, and it was
the first visit home by Mrs. Buz
by in eighteen years. Her daugh
ter, Mrs. Barbara Johnson, also
of Fairbanks, Alaska, visited
here two years ago.

the Northside Sunshine club on
Thursday afternoon.
Instead of the usual bingo, val
entine games were enjoyed. Priz
